Effect of laser on double-arc physical characteristics in pulsed laser-induced double-TIG welding

In order to improve the melting efficiency of double-TIG arc, based on synchronous induction pulsed laser double-arc, coupling-enhanced discharge phenomenon between double-arcs is studied in this paper. The laser-induced double-arc quantitatively analyzed. physical characteristics coupling are high-speed camera and spectral diagnosis technology. model established discuss particle migration during discharge, characterizing movement state electrons. results show that Dla (horizontal distance tungsten electrode tip beam axis) has a significant effect heat source. With increase Dla, there three interaction relationships plasma keyhole plasma: mutual interference, no interaction. A suitable can realize plasma, forming double-arc; source higher efficiency. particles be divided into four stages: free stage, initial contraction stable stage. Under laser, forms common compressed conductive channel. energy density reaches 9.3 times traditional total electron kinetic increases by 38% compared with double-arc.
